[Bike Lust] – Vlad Graham Coconino Firefly Wiseman English Retrotec Oddity Alliance Strong Durango

School is back in session for the kiddos and it also looks like a lot of builders are schooling others with their talented builds. I have a slew of great American made mountain bikes in this post. I really like a lot of the bikes in this post. Everyone is really getting creative with their designs and paint schemes.

New Bike From Vlad Cycles

I wanted to share a new bike that I built since NAHBS, which is unique.  A customer approached me to build a bike that would allow her to ride off-road and on the pavement.  In addition, flat bars were required for more upright position than on the cyclocross bike. To accommodate this style of riding, the MTB and Cyclocross drivetrain components were integrated.

It features a modified Shimano Deore XT 10 speed group and Shimano CX50 10 speed Cyclocross crankset with double 46-36T chainring set.  The bike is also equipped with Rolf Mtb 29er Ralos wheel set and 33c tires.

The custom fork was build in house.  Seat tube, top tube, and wishbone seat stays were bent to accommodate customer’s aesthetics.
