[Bike Lust] Indy Fab Deluxe Redux – Reeb Cycles SFP – A Train Rigid

In my many travels around the Interwebs I have came across some pretty slick looking rides from various American handmade builders.

John “Prolly” Watson has written an article on his 2013 NAHBS purchase of Independent Fabrications’ limited edition Deluxe Redux rigid mountain bike. He tells his story of the purchase of the bike and what it means to him. He took a lot of great photos of this bike detailing its many features.  It truly a classic mountain bike, although I’d have to change my trails or riding style a bit to make fully rigid work for me.

Reeb Cycles posted a Facebook album of two of their bikes from 2013 NAHBS. The two hardtails feature Gates belt drives and great looking raw finish.

This is my favorite bike in this article. As I mentioned earlier, I’m not sure how well I’d get along with riding fully rigid, but for a bike this slick looking I’d give it a try. I dig the contrast of the metal flake green paint with the raw KVA stainless main tubes. I bet it rides like a rocket!

  1. Rigid bikes are great. I have a steel rigid bike with coaster and v brake. It’s great for xc and beach cruising. I have full suspension bikes too but this one always has a place at my home.
